The Red Lion
The Red Lion, is one of Newquays last remaining "traditional" pubs. With an extensive food menu, lots of ales and a open fire to boot, its the pefect place to spend a lazy afternoon. With a packed live music agenda, its also great fun for a few beers and a boogie. Its got a cosy courtyard garden, which is a bit of a sun trap and impressive views over the harbour, its definitely worth a visit (and its only a 5 minute walk from the surf school!)
Whiskers is a recent addition to the Newquay bar scene. Opening its doors in 2014, its become a firm favourite for locals and tourists alike. During the day, its got a chilled out vibe, serving organic coffee & home made cakes, but in the evening Whiskers comes alive with funky DJs and live music. With a wide drinks selection, specialising in organic wines and craft beers, its a great place to share a bottle or two wth friends and shake your funky stuff! Definitely worth popping in for a brew or a beverage!

The Beach Bar at Fistral Beach is a favourite for sunset watching. Located literally on the sand at Fistral Beach, you can soak up the rays and watch the surfers doing their thing, whilst you enjoy a beer and listen to some live muisc. With comfy sofas on the deck and plenty of tables and chairs, its got a great vibe and a late license, so definitely worth a visit, especialy if the sunset is going to be a good one!
